TEMPO Interactive, Mataram:Most of the ancient relics in West Nusa Tenggara
(NTB) province have been badly neglected due to lack of funds. Out of the
entire 272 items, the funds from the government are enough only to care for 17
artifacts. The rest are threatened with serious damage if they remain
neglected. Yet, these historical treasures are more than 50 years old.
"We regret the is no coordination between parties interested in preserving and
restoring these items," said NTB Culture and Tourism chief, Rr. Sri Rahmatari,
yesterday.
